About Seventh Baptist Church

Thank you for taking the time to find out more about the Seventh Metro Church and our movment. Seventh was established in Baltimore, Maryland in 1845. We hope that after you look through our website, attend an event or worship service, you will consider becoming a more active part of our growing community.

Led by Pastor Ryan Preston Palmer, Seventh is a growing family of College students, Artists, and Professionals who are looking to strengthen their relationship with Jesus.

Equipping People For Personal Ministry By Loving, Reaching & Teaching

Seventh Metro Church is a church with a rich history and bright future. The church was originally established in 1845, grew to more than 2000 members and for more than 163 years met the needs of Baltimore city and beyond in authentic and relevant ways.

The 1980's and 1990's were decades of significant decline and Seventh almost closed its doors forever. However, in 2003, a handful of people recommitted their lives to Christ and took personal responsibilty for impacting our culture with the gospel of Jesus Christ.  We rediscovered our purpose to be "good news" to Baltimore City and the surrounding world.

Divinely centered on the geographical axis of Baltimore City, one city block in any direction takes us to a different people group. Surrounded by Johns Hopkins University, the Maryland Institute College of Arts (MICA), Morgan State University, Coppin State University, University of Baltimore, the Peabody Institute, and the University of Maryland at Baltimore, the future is bright as Seventh builds new bridges of friendship to the college students, artists and professionals living, working and playing in our community.
